October 20, 2007 - Supervisor of Elections' staff walked to support the fight against Breast Cancer

The Supervisor of Elections office participated in the 2007 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The Walk was held on October 20th at the Little Everglades Steeplechase in Dade City. The Elections office raised over $1,000 for the American Cancer Society.

 

October 4, 2007 - The making of OTP

Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley along with staff members, volunteer pollworkers, and representatives of SOE Software met at Country Aire Estates Clubhouse, Precinct 63, to film updates to Pasco County’s Online Training Platform (OTP). The OTP is a state-of-the-art training program utilized by the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections’ office to train pollworkers for upcoming elections.

 

 

 

September 27, 2007 - Bilingual Task Force

Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley addresses elections’ office personnel from around the state, charged with recruiting pollworkers, in late September. The personnel are members of the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections’ (FSASE) Bilingual Task Force. The task force meets regularly to develop and implement a recruitment campaign for bilingual pollworkers. Pasco County hosted the meeting at Safety Town in New Port Richey.

 

September 11, 2007 - Pollworker Resolution

The Board of County Commissioners, at the request of Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley, adopted a resolution acknowledging the outstanding civic service of Pasco County’s pollworkers. The resolution was presented at the Board of County Commission meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at the Historic Court¬house in Dade City. Eight long-term pollworkers were in attendance to receive the resolution.

 

 

July 2, 2007 - Pollworker EViD Demonstrations

Education for Pasco County Pollworkers on the new Electronic Voter iDentification system (EViD) will begin this month. All four elections’ offices will have machines avail¬able for a hands-on demonstration of the equipment through the end of October, 2007. The EViD system will replace the paper precinct registers countywide in the 2008 election cycle.

 

June 29, 2007 - CPR Training for Staff

The Pasco County Supervisor of Elections’ office was trained by two instructors from Safety and Fitness Educators (S.A.F.E.) in Adult CPR and AED during a 2.5 hour class held at the Dade City elections’ office. Supervisor Corley and his entire staff readily participated in learning this life-saving skill.

 

 

April 4, 2007 - Poll Deputy Training

Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley trained a group of poll deputies scheduled to work the Zephyrhills’ Municipal Election at the Election Support Center in Dade City on April 4, 2007.

 

April 2, 2007 - Precinct Election Official Training

Brian Corley, Supervisor of Elections, addresses Precinct Supervisors and EViD Operators for the April 10, 2007 Municipal Elections during a training class held at the West Pasco Government Center in New Port Richey.

 

February 20, 2007 - Municipal Candidate Workshop

Brian Corley, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections, addressed Municipal Election candidates at the second annual Municipal Candidates Workshop held at the Pasco County School Board offices in Land O’ Lakes. The workshop provided information regarding campaign finance and general election administration information to candidates, treasurers and campaign workers.

 

February 19, 2007 - February 25, 2007 - Pasco County Fair Booth

For the fifth year in a row, the elections office won first-place at the Pasco County Fair for “Best Commercial Exhibit Depicting Fair Theme”. In honor of the fair’s sixtieth anniversary this year, the fair association chose “Diamond Jubilee” as the theme.

In keeping with this theme, the booth portrayed voting as the “jewel of democracy” and seized the opportunity to introduce Brian Corley, the newly appointed Pasco County Supervisor of Elections. Mr. Corley enjoyed spending time at the booth meeting Pasco citizens and getting to know several of the office’s outreach ambassadors who staffed the booth throughout the week.

 

 

 

January 24, 2007 - City Clerks Meeting

Brian Corley, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections, led the annual city clerk meeting at the David “Hap” Clark Professional Center Board Room in Land O’ Lakes. The elections’ office and the city clerks used this meeting to prepare for the April 10, 2007 Municipal Elections.

 

 

January 21, 2007 - Meet the Supervisor

Brian E. Corley, Pasco County’s newly appointed Supervisor of Elections, dropped in to visit part of his new staff at the East Pasco Government Center. Corley officially began his new post on Wednesday, January 24, 2007.
