William Woodham, 21, has been a Pollworker in Pasco County since 2010. “He is one of the youngest, brightest workers I have ever had,” said Joyce Martin, Pollworker Coordinator. “He is always willing to pitch in and help out wherever he is needed, and always receives rave reviews from his fellow pollworkers.”
William expressed interest in learning all aspects of being a pollworker, and has proven to be a true asset. When asked how he became interested in working at the polls, he said, “My decision to work at the polls was a natural extension of my lifelong interest in the political process. Working the polls has given me a greater respect for the voting process and its importance to our nation.” William currently works as an Evid Specialist during election cycles, and is seeking a business degree in management with hopes of getting his MBA and eventually establishing his own business.
One of William’s true assets is his positive, can-do attitude, and it will serve him well in whatever his future holds. “He is always kind to the voters and goes out of his way to assist,” said Joyce Martin. “I am honored to have firsthand experience with this pollworker who truly believes in our democracy enough to become involved.”
